Lately I have been overcome by the sleep monster. If I don't get a nap everyday. I literally feel like I am going to die. Come dinner time....kill me already! I believe it's partially because I am 9 weeks pregnant. So I am busy creating life. And it is exhausting! I have never been this tired during a pregnancy before. It's borderline ridiculous. My Kanyon is such a great nap taker. He takes a three hour nap, from 12:50-3:30 everyday. I used to think I was a bit crazy and nazi-ish by being so strict about his nap time, until I read this... IT is the best! I haven't read it all, but I was skim reading several chapters last night and it tells me that I am not crazy for insisting on my child napping but smart! It also talks about the important of naps for adults! I now do not feel guilty for napping-nor do I feel lazy! I am literally a nicer, better mother if I get a nap. Kanyon got a new tricycle. Kanyon got a haircut because his hair is CrAzY! Kanyon insists on wearing his PJ's and sweater vest all day. If Kanyon is quiet it's because he is either getting into something, or he doesn't want his older brother to know he is playing with his DS.

Kye made the kids green eggs and green pancakes. There were no signs leprechauns, but KC insists that is who pulled up one of the tulips. I told KC if a "leprechaun" picks any more tulips, his DS will disappear. (KC picked our garden 4 times last summer...)

Kye turned 30 today! We had a party at the church on the 5th to celebrate with family and friends. All of our family and a few friends came. We ate dinner and treats. Here is the birthday spanking line! On Kye's actual birthday we celebrated with some delicious cake. The Tuckers came over to help us eat it. (The Tuckers get suckered in a lot to come over because they are our next-door-neighbors :)

Kye will kill me for this, but oh well! He was awarded employee of the quarter of the health department. He deserves it. His parents were planning on coming up the next day, so they surprised him and came a day early. My parents were on their way to St. George so they stopped by to surprise him too. We were all a surprise! When he stood up to accept his award, he saw us standing in the back and he took a double take and stared at us like a deer in head lights! IT was the best reaction ever! The entire month of February was read-a-thon time at the Elementary school. My kids worked their bottoms off to read enough minutes to get prizes and possibly one of the medals for being a top reader of their grade. Katelin read 1697 minutes and came in 5th place of all first graders. KC read 946 minutes, came in at 2nd place and won a silver medal! We were excited for him. (Everyone except Katelin. She was pretty sad she didn't win a medal. Next year girl---Max is going down! :) Here is Katelin and Morgan reading. They read for 1.5 hours during this "reading" playdate. Katelin and her fellow first graders sang away to celebrate our country last evening. It was so cute. My parents and Reba came down and we enjoyed the evening together. Katelin was very nervous to do her part, but did a great job. We bribed her with $10 to say it in a British accent, but she didn't dare. Maybe next year. My favorite part was when the kids started screaming "FIFTY NIFTY UNITED STATES...". Katelin had a big smile on her face because this is her favorite song. Last weekend I went to the best concert EVER! GARTH BROOKS! My mother-in-law got hooked up with 5th row seats in the small theatre at the Encore in Vegas. Before we got there, Kirtly and Gay took us to the Wynn buffet where we stuffed ourselves with fancy food. I even had crab legs. The buffalo pasta was avoided, however. When Garth came on stage, my sister-in-law Keysha and myself started laughing because he looked straight off the farm in his wal-mart jeans, boots, ball cap, and plan blue hooded sweatshirt. He made me feel like I was his friend. All that was on stage with him was a backless stool and a water bottle. Half the songs he sang weren't his own. He told the story of what music influenced his own style during the 60's and 70's. Then he would play those songs. I wish he would record all those James Taylor and Simon & Garfunkel songs because he sang them better! Trisha Yearwood came on in the middle of it and they sang their duet. She also sang "S...

Last week I was down with a huge migrain/tension headache. Now, for those of you who have never had one I know what you are thinking. "Big deal!" well let me tell you... I was in bed for the first three days because I couldn't move or I would puke and finally went to the Dr. and got some medicine that made my headaches a little better and made me feel dizzy and I didn't dare drive. But oh I slept good! Well, now I am on the upswing, 10 days later and happy to report that I am feeling better! I wanted to do a cartwheel in the street yesterday because I felt so good! Nothing is better then feeling better after feeling horrible! Actually there is something better-here is this little guy hiding in the corner, mocking me, as I try to get him to lie down so I can change his diaper. He always puts a smile on my face.

I love to take pictures. It bugs Kanyon sometimes. Here it was bugging him a lot. I get Kanyon out of the tub and wrap him up like a burrito. Then he puckers up and wants a kiss from mama. Then he giggles. He does this every time we get out of the tub. One of my favorite small moments from the day. Then I get the camera so I can capture this moment because he won't do it forever. Here is saying, "Cheese!!" Katelin always takes pictures of herself. She has mastered the art of bubble blowing. Here are the kids "clearing" the kitchen table. Kanyon dances along while they make their sad attempt. Sometimes I feel that tomorrow I will wake up and they will be grown and not want their mama. I want to cherish this age forever.

I am glad to see that people still look at this. I've added quite a few posts and will add more as they happen.

I found these shirts at Old Navy for $1.35! The boys couldn't be happier. Kanyon started running around the room and making flying noises. He is getting too big! KC loves his new strong tummy.

It's a tradition that Kye always has a donut ready for the kids to eat when they wake up on their birthday. This year he went for a small one because he is conscience of what the kids should be consuming and putting into their bodies.... Here is KC with his cousin Carsen. They are five days apart. This year they turned 5. Kirtly and Gay were up here and it is always fun to be with them. The kids love being with Pa and Gigi.

What do you do when you are trying to keep your kid off the carpet in case he pukes? You give him a haircut! Then you call your friend (Buffy in my case) and have her come over and fix what you did! It was a hard decision because as you can see, Kanyon does not grow any hair on the sides of his head. It is all on top and in the middle. We all have a good laugh about it. I think his little mohawk is cute and he doesn't have a mullet anymore. It's always hard to chop off the last of that baby hair.

Kanyon was up puking all night. Kye and I took turns cleaning up the bed and cleaning up the baby. It was a long night. In my opinion there is nothing worse then holding your baby and he is retching because there is nothing more to throw up. Then when he is done, he turns into a limp little noodle. I found these two on the floor asleep at 10:30. After 45 minutes of this, he woke up and puked again. As soon as he was done, he started smiling, dancing, and giggling. It was the weirdest thing ever! I am just glad he is better!

We went a cruise for Christmas with Kyes' family. We had a lot of fun. I don't like to blog very much lately. Enjoy this picture of all of us in Mazatlan. The two rocks behind us are called "poo-poo" rocks (They are white because of pelican poop. Nice huh.) The kids laughed about it all day.
