The Last Day of School

Before I talk about the last day, I will show this picture taken the 2nd to last day. I love Mrs. Whitaker. She made a great effort with Katelin and really encouraged her strengths and helped her with her weaknesses. You can't put a price on what a teacher can do. The amount they get paid is a crime...
Last Day:
As promised, the kids got to ride their bikes to school. Grandma Joyce came with to go to KC's graduation.

Squinty-eye picture is my favorite:) For the love of cuteness!!! I am almost got teary-eyed when i saw Katelin hugging her teacher. It's incredible the impact teacher's have on kids. I remember my 1st grade teacher.

Isn't it so sad at how fast our oldest kiddos have grown up? I remember when they were babies, and we sat with them on our laps during our married ward meetings. Fun to catch up on your blog. I have to say Kanyon is such a mini Kelly! Its about time you got one that looks like you. Do you know what your next one is? I heard from Lacey that you were pregnant. Congrats... sounds like everyone is having babies. I'll try and keep in better touch blogging. Glad you and your fam seem to be doing well!

What an eventful day! Here we go... BEFORE I being, I need to explain something. When I went to the Dr. on Thursday I was 37 weeks. She told me that 37 weeks is full term. The baby had also dropped. Stripping the membranes isn't inducing because the baby won't come if it is not ready. Also, she was expecting me to go into labor anytime, so it just made it convenient to have him come when Kye had work off and could be home. My contractions started to be painful around 7:00 am. Everyone was up. Katelin was laying by me on my bed being my nurse and holding my hand. So sweet. Kye was loading the car. Around 8:00 we had dropped the kids off at Crystals (LOVE you Crystal) and headed for the hospital. The longest ten miles of my life. I thought we were going to have a baby in the car. The contractions started coming every five minutes and lasting two minutes. Now you would think ten miles is quick, but not on the I-10 that is under construction during traffic! The Price Is Right 10/25/1999

Ten years ago this weekend, I went with my mom, sister, Rochelle Waite and Amber Bush to try to get on The Price is Right. I wasn't interested in really being on the show; so I lagged behind, didn't comb my hair, or take the time to do to much makeup. I would never get picked. Holy smokes, they called my name and the rest is history! Let me answer several questions right now: No, I didn't know what was going on. In fact, after everything happened, I had to sit down and fill out a bunch of paper work. I couldn't remember my address, how to spell my name, or recall what even just happened. I remember thinking, "What did I just win"? Yes, I kissed Bob and he stinks like Halloween make-up...an inch thick. (Seriously) The wheel is not heavy. No, I didn't know I was going to be picked. It's Elvis Baby!

Kye competed in "The Last Talent Standing" competition for Maricopa County. He walked in with a suit and a note written on his brief case that said, "Auditor by day". Then he turned the brief case around and it said, "Auditor by night". Then he took off his jacket, tie, turned up his collar and put on the Elvis glasses. He was a hit! We'll find out who the top six contestants are in a week or two. (Sorry for the loud hollar, I forgot I was filming!) Go Kye!
