Katelin's many faces

I am posting these pictures for several reasons.

  1. Katelin actually let me comb AND curl her hair WITHOUT screaming! Oh my heavens, I had to take a picture.
  2. She wanted to wear my reading glasses... Lisa Loeb anyone?
  3. As soon as I took one picture, she was done and wasn't happy that I took the second two. It reminded me of how she has always been so particular about pictures. Mostly she doesn't want you to take her picture unless she is in the mood. Here are some of her several "moods" from today and the past two years.

I can't believe how grown up she is looking. I actually remember her looking like she did in all of those pics, even though we only saw you guys once every few months. Before I know it, Jaylee is going to be grown up!

I love it! That is such a girl for you... I"m just beginning to understand that. When I try to do Maliya's hair, and she is "not in the mood"- which is often, she shakes her head really fast from side to side so I can't get ahold of a single hair. She learned that fast- but I kinda think it's funny. Do you know what you are having yet? I'm so excited for you.

What an eventful day! Here we go... BEFORE I being, I need to explain something. When I went to the Dr. on Thursday I was 37 weeks. She told me that 37 weeks is full term. The baby had also dropped. Stripping the membranes isn't inducing because the baby won't come if it is not ready. Also, she was expecting me to go into labor anytime, so it just made it convenient to have him come when Kye had work off and could be home. My contractions started to be painful around 7:00 am. Everyone was up. Katelin was laying by me on my bed being my nurse and holding my hand. So sweet. Kye was loading the car. Around 8:00 we had dropped the kids off at Crystals (LOVE you Crystal) and headed for the hospital. The longest ten miles of my life. I thought we were going to have a baby in the car. The Price Is Right 10/25/1999

Ten years ago this weekend, I went with my mom, sister, Rochelle Waite and Amber Bush to try to get on The Price is Right. I wasn't interested in really being on the show; so I lagged behind, didn't comb my hair, or take the time to do to much makeup. I would never get picked. Holy smokes, they called my name and the rest is history! Let me answer several questions right now: No, I didn't know what was going on. In fact, after everything happened, I had to sit down and fill out a bunch of paper work. I couldn't remember my address, how to spell my name, or recall what even just happened. I remember thinking, "What did I just win"? Yes, I kissed Bob and he stinks like Halloween make-up...an inch thick. (Seriously) The wheel is not heavy. No, I didn't know I was going to be picked. Easter Bunny Poll

I put a poll just to the right of this post. My father-in-law and I were discussing whether you should have the Easter bunny come on Saturday or Sunday. Growing up, the Easter bunny always came to my house on Sunday. He thinks everyone has him come on Saturday. PLEASE VOTE so I can see if I have a valid argument or not.
