Katelin in White

Image
Katelin and I had a little photo shoot on the Provo temple grounds. She is a hoot and poser! I love this girl!

Some pictures from Moab

Kye went with the two older kids camping over spring break. The Jeep only seats 5, so I had to stay home with the little boys-or drive by myself to the cabin.... My parents were so nice and decided to go to the cabin and drove my van for me!! My niece Reba came. She is a sweetie. We went Jeeping through "Hell's Revenge". Thankfully, there are no broken collar bones to report (KC broke his last year Jeeping). It was so fun. I hated going home. I forgot all about my worries and duties for a few days. It was awesome. My favorite part was staying up chatting with the adults and playing the dice game "greed". I have a great family!

It was a wild and crazy party. We had a good time with some good food. My friend Sarah helped me by decorating the cakes.

Katelin Turns 8

My sweet girl turned 8 today! I can't believe it! McKenna Gleed, Fernanda, Katelin, Paris Pinegar, Kylee Wilkerson, Morgan Tucker Here is the always happy Keaton!

I'm so done!!

I need to be more careful about what I say. The other night, I had had it and I told Kye, "I am so done!" and went up to my room for a "time out". Yesterday I told Kanyon it was time to go potty. (He is almost 100% trained!!) He said, "No mom! I said no!" and I picked him up and started carrying him upstairs. When we were almost to the bathroom he said, "I am SO done mom!" I was laughing so hard! However, I don't know how funny it really is.

I Can't Want a Fever!

This morning Kanyon had pink cheeks and was a little warm. I said, "Kanyon, do you have a fever? He touched his head and said, "No. I'm not have a fever." So then I grabbed the thermometer and took his temp. It was 101 degrees. I said, "Kanyon, you have just a little fever." The tears started rolling and he looked heart broken. "Mom, I can't want a fever! Take it off!" So being the good mother that I am, I wiped his forehead and told him the fever was gone. He stopped crying and said, "Thanks mama." I love two-to-three-year-olds!

Keaton at 4 Months

Image
Stats from his 4-month well check today: Weight: 16.2 lbs - 64% Head: 17.1 inches - 72% Height: 26.8 - 92% I am a little surprised he isn't heavier. He is such a chub!

Keaton is 4-Months-Old

Image
Today Keaton is 4-months-old. He really is a cutie pie. He smiles to big, his eyes squint. He is too curious about the camera and won't smile for it yet. He also sucks in air and does a little squeal when he smiles big. Drool and kicking feet usually follow the squeal. We are all ready for him to sleep through the night. Next month when we move him to the basement room, he will have to cry it out. I KNOW he is full! Last week he drank a 6 OZ. bottle in under a minute. He rolled over today for the first time! I called the other three kids in ( Kye was at church meetings) and we cheered on Keaton as he rolled from belly to back a few times! He is getting too big too fast.

Martha Washington

Image
In Katelin's class, each student got to pick a famous person from the past to do a report on. Katelin picked Martha Washington. She was so excited to do it! Can I just say that doing homework with her is fun because she is interested and already knows how it's going to be done. I just help her create her idea. So when we read a bunch about Martha, I just sat and typed exactly what Katelin wanted me do and helped her with the correct grammar as best as I could. and for the record I spelled it GRAMMER before spell check corrected me!!. Then she picked pictures from the internet that she felt were appropriate for her poster. I found a dress at the D.I. that worked for the time period and borrowed a crocheted table runner from a neighbor for a shawl. I tried to tuck it in like Martha, but it felt "weird" to Katelin. So we tied it off with a silly band! Grandma Joyce and cousin Brady were able to come down just in time to see the report. She did a great job. She wasn't...

Keaton and Food

Image
Keaton is known for his frequent feedings followed by big burps and happy smiles. Lately he has been so interested in what we eat. So interested that he starts wiggling his entire body and drooling. He also makes little cooing noises. So this night, Katelin was holding Keaton while having some noodles. He reached out and grabbed all the noodles and started waving them around. The kids were laughing so hard as I ran to get the camera. After he was all cleaned up he grabbed the fork and was ready to eat! Katelin said to me, "I am going to remember this night forever! Keaton is so funny!" and she will remember it because I took a photo and wrote about it. :)

What?

Where has the time gone?

I can just say that time is flying and I feel like I don't even have time to wipe my nose. I always have a baby on my breast, or a toddler on my knee because everyone loves and needs mama. And I love it, truly. Kye and I don't really have time to sit until around 8:30 because the kids are finally in bed and we can breathe. Usually our conversation is held on the couches that we are sprawled out on because we are so exhausted! Parenthood is not for whimps! Especially if you are trying to be one of the better ones (trying is the key word here). Kye has been super busy with work and his calling. He is good to come home and help though- like yesterday when I called him home from church because I am super sick and so are the kids and I needed to lay down. Bishop is good about letting him come home too and is always concerned for our family. I have great friends who are also neighbors who seem to always be taking care of me and my kids. We are blessed. I finally had time to writ...

Breakfast with the Kids

Image
Here is a typical morning during breakfast: Kanyon is begging me to put on some music so he can dance. Katelin is hogging...I mean holding the baby. KC is smiling in between random questions about how old someone will be when he is 76 years old. and... I love this picture. KC got a hold of my camera and captured the short time when Keaton will be little enough for Katelin to tote around all morning. She holds him face-out, just what he likes.

Kanyon and Keaton

Image
My mom bought Kanyon and Keaton matching Snoopy outfits. Kanyon was nice and wore it once for the picture. I love how opposite these two are. My brown-eyed, olive skinned boy next to my pasty white, blue-eyed chub!
